How we approach this kind of build
Ticketing is a burst-traffic problem. Most of the year an event platform is quiet, then a popular on-sale generates more load in ten minutes than the previous month combined. Inventory is held under a short reservation while payment completes, so two people cannot buy the last ticket, and the queue is explicit rather than letting the site fall over and lose the sale entirely.
Event pages are server-rendered with event structured data so listings can surface directly in search results, which for many organisers is a meaningful share of ticket sales and costs nothing extra to support. Each event gets a clean, shareable URL rather than a query-string identifier.
Check-in has to work at a venue with poor connectivity and a queue forming. The scanner app holds the attendee list locally, validates QR codes offline, and syncs afterwards, with duplicate-scan detection so a ticket cannot be used twice even across multiple devices operating independently. That offline path is the difference between a smooth door and a very visible failure.
